The Caribe — A New Chapter Begins
For over 25 years, Caribe Restaurant and Bar has been a cornerstone of Bonita's community and nightlife scene. What began as a local landmark has now entered an exciting new era under the ownership of Roots & Rhythm, transforming into a vibrant cultural hub that celebrates the rich diversity of African, Caribbean, and Latin American traditions.
Roots & Rhythm's vision extends beyond a single concept. The Caribe now houses three distinct experiences under one roof: The Caribe serves as the culinary heart of this ecosystem, while Caribe Nightclub and Roots & Rhythm Lounge continue to provide their own unique nightlife experiences. This website focuses exclusively on the restaurant — our fusion kitchen that brings together flavors from across the diaspora.
Our menu reflects the shared culinary heritage of three continents:
- African Flavors: Jollof rice, Nigerian suya, West African stews, and traditional spice blends that form the foundation of diaspora cooking.
- Caribbean Flavors: Jamaican jerk, slow-braised oxtail, sweet plantains, curry goat, and island classics that warm the soul.
- Latin Flavors: Puerto Rican mofongo, Dominican arroz con habichuelas, Colombian influences, and the vibrant tastes of Latin America.
